It’s our favorite day of the year! And this go-around, Earth Day and The Agency’s Annual Global Clean Up Day coincided — and our teams took full advantage. Across 16 markets, 118 volunteers logged more than 300 hours of cleanup from the white-sand beaches of Grand Cayman to the leafy parks of Panama City. Here’s the (literal) dirt on how they showed up and gave back.
OREGON
Now marking its fourth year of participation in the county’s Adopt-A-Road program, The Agency’s Bend team has turned Earth Day into a true tradition. This year, 10 volunteers hit the pavement and collected nine bags of trash, combining their love for Central Oregon’s natural beauty with a commitment to keeping it that way.
Rather than a traditional cleanup, Portland and Lake Oswego went big — bringing in shred and recycle trucks so the broader community could safely dispose of documents, electronics, and household items. The result? Over 400 participants and more than 4,000 pounds of recycled materials were collected in a single day. “Shred and Recycle Day was a huge success!” said Managing Partner Dirk Hmura. “It was an incredible event for us and a win for the environment.”
FLORIDA
Our Palm Beach team took their cleanup to the water, spending the morning paddling along Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach, picking up trash by kayak.
MASSACHUSETTS
The Agency Marblehead’s agents and staffers spent a morning combing Devereux and Riverhead beaches along the North Shore. As Managing Partner Michael Cannuscio put it, “We believe that when communities everywhere commit to these moments of local caring, the cumulative impact on our fragile environment is anything but small.”
NEW JERSEY
In Rutherford, from the Williams Center courtyard to New Jersey’s train station, agents covered ground and turned up some unexpected finds along the way. “I’m incredibly proud of our team for showing up for Rutherford today,” said Managing Partner Jennifer Darby Metzger. “What we do extends beyond real estate because caring for the place we call home starts with even the smallest actions. Together, those efforts create a lasting impact.”
BAHAMAS
Our local Bahamas team headed to Jaws Beach in Nassau for a shoreline cleanup — with a special addition. Several team members brought their children along for the day. “The future starts with them!” said Managing Partner Danny Lowe, a sentiment that made the cleanup feel as much about legacy as it did about the environment.
SOUTH CAROLINA
With spring break in full swing, our Hilton Head and Beaufort teams chose Coligny Beach on Hilton Head — arguably the island’s most iconic stretch of coastline — for their cleanup. Friends and family joined agents in the dunes, connecting with beachgoers and championing the natural beauty that makes Hilton Head so special.
TEXAS
Our Tyler team rolled up their sleeves at Fun Forest Pool and Park, pitching in to help revive a beloved community space for local families.”Real estate is about building strong communities, and that starts long before a transaction,” said Managing Partner Vanessa Griffin. “We were proud to celebrate Earth Day by giving back to Tyler through a project that helps create a more beautiful, welcoming space for local families to enjoy. At The Agency Tyler, community is always at the heart of what we do.”
In Waco, along the banks of the Brazos River, our team gathered 28 bags of trash — and sparked something more lasting: a shared office love for community service. “At The Agency in Waco, we celebrate Earth Day by showing up to protect, clean up, and give back to our community that we truly care about and love to serve,” said Managing Partner Amanda Cunningham.
CAYMAN ISLANDS
Partnering with Plastic Free Cayman, The Agency Cayman Islands’ team tackled Barker’s Beach in Grand Cayman — a stretch where sea trash frequently washes ashore. “Earth Day is a reminder that protecting Grand Cayman’s natural beauty is everyone’s responsibility,” said Managing Partner Fleur Coleman.
“At The Agency Cayman, we represent some of the most exceptional coastal properties in the Caribbean, but the true luxury is the environment that surrounds them. Our beaches are part of what makes this island so special, and we’re proud to do our part — both as a business and as members of this community — to support the island and help protect the natural beauty that defines Grand Cayman.”
PANAMA
The Agency Panama’s team helped plant over 70 trees in Don Bosco Sponge Park — Panama City’s first-ever park designed to absorb rainwater during the heavy rainy season.
“The earth held us before we ever knew our own name,” said Managing Partner Victoria Levitam. “It grounds us, shapes us, and reminds us of what truly matters. To touch the soil. To plant a tree. To stand beside each other in the dirt — is to honor the very thing that made us possible. And as the tree grows, so do we.”
CANADA
In Alberta, our Edmonton team kept it in the neighborhood, cleaning up the park beside their office’s building and doing their part to keep their corner of the community looking its best.
COLORADO
Let’s go, Colorado! Our Denver and Boulder teams headed to Eben G. Fine Park in Boulder, picking up trash and spending Earth Day exactly where it belongs — outside, doing good.
Additional kudos and applause go to our other offices that participated in this year’s Annual Global Clean Up Day: The Agency Charlotte, La Jolla, Miami and Austin. Well done, all!
About The Agency Global Clean Up
This annual event is one of our favorites to celebrate around the world as it demonstrates how big an impact we can all make when we come together. Last year, our amazing team of worldwide volunteers participated in hundreds of hours of clean-up across 21 locations, gathering a total of 1,136 pounds of trash.
